Lady with the Unicorn

Perhaps some of the finest Medieval tapestries to survive from the Middle Ages were the "Dame a la Licorne" or "Lady with the Unicorn" series, which were woven circa 1490 and now hang in the Cluny museum in Paris. The rich, red background of each Lady with Unicorn tapestry is strewn with a wide variety of flowering plants and features pine, oak, and holly trees, the repeated motif of a coat of arms of three white crescents on a blue background, and animals including numerous rabbits, monkeys, and birds.  Choose from Heirloom's unparalleled collection of Lady & Unicorn tapestries to add warmth and elegance to your home.
